SAE AMS2380H

This specification covers the procedures for approval of products of premium-quality titanium alloys and the controls to be exercised in producing such products. AMS2380H results from a Five-Year Review and update of the specification with changes to update Classification for Grades 3 and 4 and similar information in Melting Practice (see 1.3 and 3.1.2), Applicable Documents (see Section 2), lot definitions for Forgings, Extrusions, Bar, and Plate (see 2.3.4), and Macrostructure (see 3.3.3.1 and Table 6); correct errors in the title of Table 2; revise inspection criteria (see 3.2.4); add a maximum size limit for Ultrasonic Inspection for Rounds (see Table 3); revise Etch-Anodize Inspection (see 3.3.3.4.1) and billet macrostructure resampling (see 4.7.1); update photographs for Figures 1 through 6; and relocate Definitions (see 2.3).
