AMS6482C is the result of a Five-Year Review and update of the specification. The revision updates the Title to match the scope, updates composition reporting (see 3.1.1), revises the macrostructure requirements (see 3.4.1, 3.4.1.1, 3.4.1.2, and 8.8), updates the decarburization test method (see 3.4.4.5), provides response to heat-treatment parameters in a new table (see Table 6), adds forgings quality requirements (see 3.5.3), removes AS6279 as a requirement (see 3.7, Revision B), updates the prohibition of exceptions requirements (see 3.4.5.1.2, Revision B, 4.4.4, and 8.6), and addresses stock removal (see 8.5).
