What are JAA TO Standards?

For the current legal framework, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is the sole competent Authority, inter alia, in all aviation matters, scope and responsibilities, since the first Basic Regulation (EC) No. 1592/2002 of 15 July 2002. Meanwhile, Basic Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 entered into force on 11 September 2018.

The European Commission has published transitional measures to be historically defined for all JAR requirements and procedures, as well as the latest valid deadlines within which Type Certificates must be exchanged under the EASA Legal Framework, among others.

The Joint Aviation Authorities were issuing JARs (Joint Aviation Requirements). Due to ongoing airworthiness needs, JARs form part of the reference historical documents that Maintenance and Type Certificate organisations, among others, are required to have in their management.

Customers can order these reference historical documents, such as JAR-25, on this page.

Keep in Mind!

The Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organisation (Netherlands) is a Pioneer in Aviation Regulatory Training.
