About This Item

This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) establishes guidance for the specification of formulated lubricant properties which contribute to the lubricating function in bearings, gears, clutches, and seals of aviation propulsion and drive systems. Since issuance of AIR5433B, it was discovered that the thermal conductivity for the oils listed in Table 8 were in error. After review in the E-34C Lubricating Characteristics Subcommittee, these issues have been resolved in this revision.
