About This Item

This specification covers a deicing/anti-icing material in the form of a fluid. This revision of the document reflects two changes agreed to at the last G12 Fluids meeting in May of 2005. Section 3.4.5 has been reworded to allow the use of a chemically inert cup to prevent galvanic reactions in the hydrogen embrittlement test. Section 1.3.7 has been added to the document and suggests that the user may require the fluid manufacturer to demonstrate that the fluid as supplied has acceptable foaming behavior under actual application conditions.
