This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of Alclad sheet and plate 0.040 to 1.000 inch, inclusive (1.02 to 25.40 mm, inclusive) in nominal thickness (see 8.5). AMS4316C results from a Five-Year Review and update of this specification with changes to add provisions for AS6279 (see 3.7), correct offset callout for yield strength (see Table 3), update wording to prohibit unauthorized exceptions (see 3.3.1.1 and 8.4), correct and/or add metric values for electrical conductivity (see 3.3.2 and 4.3.2), relocate statement regarding statistical analysis of properties previously in notes (see 3.3.1.2), and update Applicable Documents (see Section 2) and Ordering Information (see 8.5).
