AMS5524N is the result of a Five-Year Review and update of the specification. The revision updates the Title (see 8.6), addresses composition reporting (see 3.1.1), adds hot-rolled finish as an option and clarifies other finish requirements (see 3.2), adds strain rate control during tensile testing (see 3.3.1.1), standardizes bend testing (see 3.3.3), and adds MMPDS participation requirement (see 3.6 and 8.7).
