RATINGS ARE BASED ON THE FORMULA: ALLOWABLE   RATING = RATED   TAKE-OFF   PROPELLER   SHAFT   TORQUE   IN   FOOT   POUNDS × CYLINDER   BORE   IN   INCHES . THE MATERIAL AND PROCESS TREATMENT OF PROPELLER SHAFT ENDS CONFORMING TO THE STANDARDS LISTED ABOVE SHOULD BE OF SUCH QUALITY TO JUSTIFY THE SPECIFIED RATINGS.
