About This Item

This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) establishes the minimum design and performance requirements for galleys to be certified and installed in transport category airplanes. AS1426 was cancelled in 2012 and has been substantially revised in 2021. AS1426 Revision C was a complete rewrite of AS1426B. Revision B did not adequately define or present galley design requirements for the galley designer to follow. Improved descriptions were provided to almost every section of the previous revision. Revision C is now satisfactory in informing a new galley supplier of the industry wide requirements and is now relevant.
