About This Item

This SAE Aerospace Standard establishes the requirements for a V-retainer coupling, flanges, and seal suitable for joining high-pressure and high-temperature ducting in aircraft bleed air systems. The rigid coupling joint assembly, hereafter referred to as “the joint,” shall operate within the temperature range of -65 to +1200 °F. AS1895 STD Profile -650 through -750 QPL: Create new slash sheets (/24 and /25) for standard profile sizes -650 through -750 with QPL. These sizes will remain on the /1 and /22 “as is” without a QPL requirement. Update applicable tables and sections as required in AS1895. AS1895 Alternate Hydrostatic Test: Clarify alternate hydrostatic test procedure and specify equivalent loads. Update Table 4 and Figure 9.
