This Aerospace Standard (AS) defines the requirements for a heavy duty polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) lined, metallic reinforced, hose assembly suitable for use in high temperature, high pressure, 4000 psi, aircraft and missle hydraulic fluid systems. Added periodic testing requirements for fire resistant hose assemblies, relocated fire test qualification requirements from NOTES paragraph 6.1.1 to qualification testing paragraphs 3.5.2.14 and 4.6.16, and revised Tables 4A and 4B to reflect applicable fire test paragraph.
