NOT TO BE USED AS A PART NUMBER. 1 THIS STANDARD IS FOR USE WITH STANDARDS FOR DRIVES AND ACCESSORIES AS964, 966, AND 968 THRU 971. 2 DIMENSIONS: ALL LINEAR DIMENSIONS ARE IN INCHES. 3 REMOVE BURRS AND SHARP EDGES. 4 SURFACE TEXTURE: USAS B46.1. 5 LATCH ELEMENTS ARE OPTIONAL WITHIN ENVELOPE SHOWN. 6 WHEN FULLY OPEN, COUPLING SHALL BE CAPABLE OF DISASSEMBLY FROM FLANGES WITHOUT REMOVAL OF NUT FROM BOLT. 7 THE NUT SHALL BE SELF-LOCKING TYPE IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-N-25027. 8 COUPLING SHALL BE CAPABLE OF SUSTAINING RATED AXIAL LOAD WITHOUT PERMANENT DEFORMATION. WEIGHT AND OVERHUNG MOMENT OF ATTACHING ACCESSORIES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LARGEST VALUE SPECIFIED IN AS969, AS970, AND AS971. 9 FASTENING STRAP TO STRAP END OR STRAP TO RETAINER SEGMENT SHALL BE BY RESISTANCE WELDING OR RIVETING. 10 SAE AIR869 FOR APPLICATION OF V-BAND COUPLINGS. 11 STRAP ENDS SHALL BE STRAIGHT BETWEEN POINT OF TANGENCY WITH LATCH OR TRUNNION AND POINT OF TANGENCY WITH STRAP AS SHOWN. 12 NUT TIGHTENING TORQUE SHALL BE MARKED ON COUPLING. LUBRICANT SHALL BE SPECIFIED IN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
