This test method covers determination of abrasion resistance, fiber loss and bearding resistance of automotive carpet materials. 3.1.1 Remove reference to Model No. 5135 3.2.1 Changed “101 mm” to “approximately 100 mm in diameter” (an exact specimen diameter of 101 mm is not required) 5.1.1 Change “remain” to “measure”; add “are outside of this range or”; change “36 grit” to “50 grit” (to match requirements of ASTM D4157); delete “for 400 cycles or” (this is not necessary with the statement ‘until they conform to the shape of the drum’); delete “and reinsert in the same holder and in the same position” (once the rubber pad is resurfaced, it should not be removed); add “remove or”
