This SAE Standard applies to cranes when used in lifting service that are equipped with Rated Capacity Systems. The purpose of the revised draft is three fold. The following goals were accomplished by the revisions. The following table summarizes the changes that were made and compares the results with ISO 10245-2. 1 To harmonize as much as possible SAE J159 with ISO 10245-2 2 To ensure that the Rated Capacity System always allows lifting 100% of Rated Load. 3 To add Rated Capacity System accuracy values.
