About This Item

This SAE standard establishes the minimum construction and performance requirements for single conductor cable for use on trucks, trailers and converter dollies. This revised standard is intended to be layered over the SAE J1127 and SAE J1128 (passenger car) standards in applications involving heavy-duty truck, trailer and bus. It contains more rigorous quality requirements in the areas of strand splicing and tightens the dimensional requirements to assure more uniform connector sealing.
