This document describes the collection of IUMPR data required by the Heavy Duty On-Board Diagnostic regulation 13 CCR 1971.1 (l)(2.3.3), using SAE J1939-defined messages incorporated in a suite of software functions. Whereas CARB and industry have agreed upon methods and procedures for the collection of In-Use Monitor Performance Ratio (IUMPR) data as required by 13 CCR 1971.1 (l)(2), this Information Report summarizes the agreed process and identifies key elements used in the collection of data for (l)(2).
