This SAE Information Report provides SAE’s recommendations for meeting the requirements for REAL NOx accuracy demonstration and for the implementation of REAL NOx binning requirements as defined in OBD regulations 13 CCR 1971.1 and 13 CCR 1968.2. A unit conversion error in Equation 14 from a previously published informational report was found. Equation 14 will be updated to include the correct equation to calculate NOx emissions rate when exhaust flow is in units of (g/s).
