About This Item

This SAE Recommended Practice covers standardized basic tests, test methods, and requirements applicable to electromechanical switching devices which may be used on snowmobiles as defined in SAE J33. The changes are as follows: 2.1.1: Changed paragraph numbers and titles. This cleans up the links to SAE J575 without changing any of the information or intent. 3.2: Struck definition of headlamp switch. Headlamps are on at all times so a switch is no longer required. 5.1.1: Added maximum relative humidity of 90%. Changed sentence structure to clarify meaning. Table 1, “Key Switch” row, “Design Performance Requirements” column: Expanded definition of items that may use this switch to include accessories or other features.
