These methods of test are applicable for determining the resistance to snagging and abrasion of automotive bodycloth, vinyl, and leather. 3.1.1 Removed reference to Model No. 5135. 3.2 Changed tolerance for relative humidity from 50% ± 5% to 50% ± 10%. 3.3.3 Changed “Dust” to “Lightly brush”; add “to remove any loose debris”. 3.3.6 Changed “at” to “to”. 4.1.1 Changed “remain” to “measure”; add “are outside of this range or”; change “36 grit” to “50 grit” (to match requirements of ASTM D4157); delete “for 400 cycles or” (this is not necessary with the statement ‘until they conform to the shape of the drum); delete “and re-insert in the same holder and in the same position” (once the rubber pad is resurfaced, it should not be removed); add “remove or”. 4.1.3 Added “Acrylic Adhesive” to description of 3M 400. 4.2 Changed tolerance for relative humidity from 50% ±5% to 50% ±10%. 4.3.1 and 4.3.1.1 Changed “double-backed” to “double-faced”.
