About This Item

This SAE Standard covers the general requirements and the test requirements for a flashing warning lamp for industrial wheeled equipment. Update to match SAE J974. Update to match latest SAE J575 and remove extra requirements for photometry test, as they are already spelled out in SAE J575. Changes in lamp size requirements to bring into harmonization with SAE J588 and SAE J2261 and provide greater flexibility for smaller equipment which may have limited mounting space.
