What is AECMA?

Founded in 1950, the European Association of Aerospace Industries (AECMA) represents the aerospace industry in Europe on all matters of common interest at the aircraft or systems level, engines, equipment and components.

AECMA contributes to establishing a common European aviation operations framework by developing standards for products, quality systems and product support. AECMA also supports industry interaction with civil aviation regulatory bodies in the areas of environment, aircraft product and process certification and air traffic management.

AECMA is the recognised organisation in Europe for the preparation and implementation of European Standards (EN) for aviation application (civil and military), and is an Affiliate of CEN, the European Committee for Standardisation.

Publications published by AECMA are used worldwide by engineers and technicians involved in the design, manufacture and maintenance of aircraft and aircraft components.
