What is American Nuclear Society (ANS)?
The American Nuclear Society (ANS) was founded in 1954 to promote awareness and understanding of the peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology to improve the lives of people in the United States and around the world.
The ANS Standards Committee was established in 1957 and has been active in the development of industry standards since that time. ANS publications address the design, analysis, and operation of components, systems, and facilities used in or involving nuclear technology.
