What are BMI Standards?
The Metallic Materials Properties Development and Standardization Handbook (MMPDS) is published by Battelle Memorial Institute (BMI) to serve the U.S. aerospace industry. The handbook was created and maintained by experts from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Defense (DoD), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the aerospace industry. It is the source of design mechanical and physical properties and bond allowances.
